OLIVA NOVA GOLF VALENCIA PLUS
There is a small complex of restaurants/bars plus a small supermarket near the entrance to the 'urbanisation' - just under a half mile from the apartment, or larger (cheaper) supermarkets in Olivia (a few miles). Disappointed by the lack of leaflets etc of tourist attractions and places to visit in the region - Would have expected there to be some in the hotel foyer. There were children's activities most evenings - including a birds of prey show - but in Spanish but as we no longer have young children, we don't know what else was on offer. Very peaceful and quiet at this time of year, apart from some (a little rowdy, at times) Grimsby Town FC players on a training camp. Almost links by nature of its location, the par 72 course measures 6,270 metres in length from the back markers. The club, which has an 18 hole course, 5 hole par 3 course, practice greens, and driving range, occupies 50 hectares of land adjoining the coast. A car is definitely useful here if you don't like staying on the beach or by the pool all day, every day. Green Fees & Tee Times The Oliva Nova golf course was designed by Severiano Ballesteros. We had a hamburger and chips in the hotel bar (hubby could watch the sport on the tv!) which was delicious - and reasonable at 7 euros, we thought. Everywhere was kept beautifully clean all over the complex. It was freezing but probably very welcome during the summer months! We did, however, appreciate and make use of the sun loungers.
